In the story so far, Pinmei lives on a cold mountain in Ancient China. Her grandmother is a storyteller. She tells stories to the villagers who come up the mountain. Her name is Amah. Pinmei is always quiet around other people, but she is herself and talkative when she is just with her grandmother. She also has a friend named Yishan. Yishan spends so much time farther down the mountain, but he lives farther up the mountain. Pinmei and Amah always wonder why Yishan lives farther up the mountain. Yishan comes down from his hut all the time but still lives there. I can’t wait to read more!
